Do you enjoy working with the public as a role model in a fun and friendly manner? Are you passionate about water safety and teaching swimming to various age groups? The City of Burnaby is actively recruiting a Lifeguard Instructor - Aquatics to join their team.

Duties of an Auxiliary Lifeguard/Instructor - Aquatics will include instructing aquatic programs to all ages, water surveillance and public relations, as well as participating in rescues and first aid when required. Other responsibilities include pool maintenance and cleaning duties, completing reports related to daily tasks, and performing other related duties as required.

We are currently hiring for the following hours:
• Monday to Sunday, 9am to 1pm
• Monday to Saturday, 4pm to 8pm

The following certifications are required and must be current at time of the screening:
1. LSS Swim Instructor
2. National Lifeguard
3. CPR – Level C (current within 1 year)

The wet interview take place July 13 & 14. Once your application is received an invite will be sent to attend Wet interview practice sessions. Attendance at these sessions is highly recommended to be successful in the wet interview

Wage: $27.30 + 12% in lieu of benefits
