How do you fit in?

Taking day to day direction from the North Pine Senior Operator, this position is responsible for assisting in the daily operations of the North Pine facility.  Shift schedule is a week on week off working days & nights.  Preference will be given to candidates who currently live in the Fort St. John area or who are willing to relocate to the Fort St. John area for the term of the position. Transportation will be provided from Fort St. John to the facility.

Term: May 5^th to August 31^st, 2021

What you’ll be doing: 

• Assists in the daily operation of the North Pine facilities, working the 12-hour day/night shift schedule that will change depending on operations vacation, training and absence coverage
• Assists in the safe and efficient operation of all scheduled and unscheduled work including: operations, repairs and maintenance
• Assists in pipeline ESDV, ROW inspections and pigging operations
• Adherence to all AltaGas Policies, Standards, Procedures and Practices
• Reporting of facilities safety incidents
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic

What you must have:

• Grade 12 education or equivalent
• Enrolled in a Power Engineering Program working towards a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
• Gas plant and power generation experience would be considered an asset

Where you’ll be working:

The North Pine facilities are located approximately 55 km north of Fort St. John. The North Pine Liquids Separation Facility is designed to process 20000 bbls per day of NGL’S. The NGL’S are separated into propane, butane & condensate. The propane, butane & condensate are loaded onto rail cars. The North Pine Facility also has access to the Canadian National Railway rail network, allowing for the transportation of propane, butane and condensate to North American markets and including propane to AltaGas’ Ridley Island Propane Export Terminal.
