Do you enjoy working with food and are a strong team player? We are looking for Food Service Attendants (Prep Cooks) to work in an auxiliary capacity in our Food Services Department. Our Food Service Workers prepare and sell a selection of food and beverage items and may dispense/serve liquor in licensed areas.  Reporting to the Food Service Supervisor, this position involves constant contact with the general public, internals and community groups in high volume cash handling environments.  The ideal candidates will have work experience in food services, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to deal effectively, promptly and courteously with the public and to work as part of a staff team.  Basic cooking, minor clerical, routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment are components of this job. Experience in cash handling including cash registers, POS, deposits and daily operations.  Catering experience is an asset.

Qualifications include up the high school graduation plus some related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.   Sound knowledge of related Health Regulations and laws.  Considerable knowledge of the methods, practices, materials, procedures and equipment used in food service operations Ability to serve the public in a courteous manner.  Ability to perform simple clerical duties such as taking inventory, receiving cash and balancing cash to sales.  Serving it Right and Food Safe Certificates are required.
