We are actively seeking experienced contract Fine Arts Instructors – Music for our Spring 2022 season.   These positions are responsible for teaching private, semi-private and group music lessons to students of all ages at various recreation sites within the City of Burnaby.   Other duties include creating lesson plans tailored to each student’s individual learning and performing related work as required.

Successful candidates must have appropriate education and training – such as RCM exams and university level program completion - in the musical instrument being taught, solid understanding of music pedagogy and theory, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and have a background in a particular instrument, e.g. guitar, piano, ukulele, violin, drums (digital and acoustic).  The ability to teach multiple instruments is an asset. Current CPR ‘C’ certification is required, as well as proof of double vaccination.

We are looking for availability preferably on weekday evenings and weekend days; please note these are contract positions, and hours are based on registration.
