6 Month Temporary Casual Position



The Canadian Red Cross Society, a not for profit, humanitarian organization dedicated to helping the most vulnerable in Canada and throughout the world, is currently seeking Daily Contact Supervisors as part of our Contact Tracing Team – remote work force.


Daily Contact Supervisors will lead a team of assigned Daily Contact Workers and will be responsible for their productivity, adherence to standards and procedures and will ensure consistent quality measures are achieved. Reporting to the Contact Tracing Technical Manager, they are involved in the team’s planning, organization and coordination for the delivery of daily contact services with cases and close contacts and monitor all escalations and clinical referrals.  Daily Contact Supervisors play an interlocker role between the Contract Tracing Supervisor and the Daily Contact workers to ensure organization of overlapping contact networks to optimize coordination and efficiency.

In this role you will:

  • Supervise, monitor and conduct quality checks on Daily Contact workers as assigned

  • Supervise the transfer of clients to public health or clinical support personnel when a clinical decision or case escalation is required

  • Contribute to team-based case coordination activities to ensure an organized approach and to avoid duplication in overlapping or same home daily contact calls

  • Ensure Daily Contact workers complete timely, accurate data entry into the provincial PHIMS data base

  • Adapt process and procedures as required by provincial mandates and evolving needs

  • Contribute to reporting and documentation of inbound and outbound call data, statistics and trends

  • Participate in and contribute to planned internal briefings/debriefings and meetings as requested

  • Establish and maintain safe & supportive environments for diverse populations in the affected community;



We’re looking for:

  • A college diploma or university degree in a related field and 2-4 years related experience in Public Health, nursing, Case Work, Case Management, Social Work, Counseling or related certified professions including experience supervising a team.A combination of education and experience considered

  • Must be able to read, write and interview clients English or French, bilingual candidates preferred.

  • Client centered skills including the ability to provide comfort and care, patience in dealing with upset people while addressing required interview outcomes in a virtual modality

  • Dependable, able to follow operating standards, be accountable, take initiative and ownership of work

  • Skilled in personnel supervision, providing constructive feedback, directions and mentorship to staff or volunteers

  • Data entry with the ability to work at a high level of accuracy, speed and confidence in the applicable data bases, Excel and other computer applications
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to use verbal and non-verbal cues, active listening, clearly able to explain and confirm information with clients
  • Attention to detail including accuracy in giving information, completing necessary case notes, following through on escalations and referrals

  • Ability to work well within a team: share information, be helpful, respectful, approachable, and build strongrelationships

  • This position requires a satisfactory Enhanced Police Information Check (EPIC)



Working Conditions

  • The work may be performed in a home based or office environment which is mostly clean and comfortable.

  • Candidates working from home must have reliable access to a computer, high speed internet, a phone and a private, secure workspace.

  • Must be able to work full time hours over non-traditional hours which may include daytime, evenings and weekends as required
