Our client, a well-established law firm with a great reputation throughout Quebec, is looking for a billing specialist.

In addition to joining the accounting team, you will have the opportunity to work in collaboration with lawyers and assistants.

YOUR ROLE

As a billing specialist, your main responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing and correcting preliminary bills using the internal billing software and platform;
• Verifying time entries and expenses;
• Transferring bills and supporting evidence to clients by mail, email or by means of upload on an electronic billing site;
• Giving assistance to users of the billing platform regarding time entries and electronic billing forms;
• Producing final billing on a monthly or semester basis, or on demand, and transferring it to clients;
• Ensuring the respect of the hourly rate specific to each client;
• Providing trainings on billing processes and internal policies to staff;
• Assisting other billing coordinators if needed;
• All other related tasks.

PREREQUISITIES

• Billing experience in a law firm or a professional services firm;
• Good level of bilingualism, French and English, spoken and written;
• Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Adobe;
• Detail-oriented and great organisational skills;
• Great interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain professional relationships.
