The employer we represent, a Montreal firm recognized in the Quebec legal community, is looking for a billing assistant to support the firm's lawyers!

As a billing assistant, you will be responsible for processing invoices, and your key duties will include:

  • Review and correct pre-billing invoices using the in-house billing software;
  • Prepare invoices and forward drafts to the lawyers;
  • Ensure the transfer of invoices and supporting documents to clients by e-mail or uploading them to the various electronic invoicing (e-billing) sites;
  • Scan and electronic filing of invoices;
  • Produce final invoices on a monthly, quarterly or upon request basis and transmit them to clients;
  • Ensure compliance with the hourly rate agreements applicable to each client;


  • DCS in administrative work or DPS in secretarial work or any other relevant training/experience
  • Experience in a law firm or consulting firm, a definite asset
  • High level of proficency of French, good knowledge of English
  • Mastery of Microsoft Word
  • Attention to detail, good organizational skills and priority management
  • Ability to maintain good interpersonal relations and professionalism
