LEGAL ASSISTANT – OSH AND LABOUR LAW

A beautiful and solid team awaits you. Our client, a law firm specializing in employment and labour relations , is looking for a Legal Assistant to join its Labour and Employment Law team.

YOUR ROLE

As Legal Assistant, you will provide precious assistance to the Labour Law team. Your main responsibilities will include :

• Assisting lawyers in drafting varied labour law-related documents, collective labour agreements, and other documents; 
• Managing the lawyers’ agenda and following up on deadlines;
  Managing phone calls and communicating with all stakeholders involved in cases at hand;
• Typing dictated legal texts in the two official languages;
• Drafting correspondence and ensuring its follow-up;
• Organising logistics of arbitration, meetings and trips;
• Drafting and keeping client files up to date (correspondence, supporting evidence, etc.) ;
• Proofreading documents and correspondence, and ensuring they meet legal requirements and grammar rules.

REQUIREMENTS

• Experience as a legal assistant ;
• Experience in labour law and/or OHS is an asset ;
• Good bilinguism, spoken and written, an asset ;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite ;
• Strong organisational and priority-management skills ;
• Ability to ensure timely completion of tasks, autonomous and detail-oriented ;
• Outstanding team spirit and interpersonal skills.
