KCB’s Mining Environmental Group, with offices across Canada, is looking for a Senior Geoscientist interested in being part of our existing team whose focus is: supporting, developing, training and mentoring staff; being part of the teams marketing and business development activities; sustaining client relationships and developing new business; providing technical guidance on large engineering projects and environmental studies; and leading projects to deliver solutioned focused deliverables to our clients. If you have over 10 years of consulting experience in geochemistry, soil chemistry, hydrochemistry, or related geoscience and want to be part of a highly motivated group that works with clients to achieve their objectives, while leaving a positive impact on the environment and local communities, then KCB is what you are looking for. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in: acid rock drainage and metal leaching; mine waste hydrogeochemistry; geochemical sampling, analytical methods and modelling; impact mitigation strategies; and knowledge and experience with applicable legislation, regulations, guidelines and standards within Canada. Our focus is on the application of critical thinking to the management of mine waste and water and our clients are some of the largest mining companies in the world. The right candidate will show flexibility and be energized by the prospect of working on sites all around the world. Registration as a Professional Geoscientist in BC, or eligibility to register, is a prerequisite.
