The skills that we value for this role include the ability to:

  • Process topographic survey data for design and drafting
  • Undertake terrain and geological 3D modelling and earthworks designs
  • Process and analyze datasets using GIS software then produce drawings and maps to display it
  • Create and modify queries and scripts for workflows in analysis of datasets.
  • Create, publish and maintain web maps, customized apps, and dashboard maps
  • Prepare engineering drawings (plans, profiles, cross-sections and details) to specified drawing standards

 

If you have between two and five years’ experience in civil design (with a Diploma in Engineering Technology, Geomatics, Geography, or Civil Engineering) and want to be part of a highly motivated group that works with clients to achieve their objectives, while leaving a positive impact on the environment and local communities then KCB is what you are looking for. We are particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Good interpersonal, time management and organizational skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a team
  • Strong initiative, innovation and commitment to technical excellence, as well as an enthusiasm for continuous learning
  • Experience in:
  • AutoCAD and Civil3D in Earthworks and Civil Engineering
  • ESRI ArcGIS software suite (Desktop, Pro, AGOL, Enterprise) extensions for spatial analysis, mapping, imagery and remote sensing, data collection and management.
  • Experience that would be an asset, but are not required includes:
  • Proficiency in use of data analysis software such as Microsoft Excel and other GIS specific software such as Survey123, ArcGIS Field Maps, Portal.
  • Exposure to other software such as Global Mapper, Map3D, OpenGround module for Civil 3D
