The Procurement Coordinator is responsible for managing the transport of chips and bark to our Quebec mills. His role is to obtain the quantities of fibers required within the prescribed time limits, according to known quality standards, and at the best possible cost. He also participates in contract negotiations with some of our suppliers.


  • Plan and organize daily transport according to the mills’ requirements.
  • Select carriers and negotiate rates.
  • Analyze and monitor the costs and level of transport service using performance measures and indicators for its sector.
  • Assist his immediate supervisor in negotiating supply contracts with the various suppliers.
  • See to the continuous improvement of the performance of the timber transport sector.
  • Work closely with the mills to resolve operational issues and optimize all activities having a link or impact on transportation.
  • Identify opportunities for synergies and reduce operating costs.
  • Participate in the performance of tasks related to the management of forest certification.
  • Be actively involved in the management of health and safety related to transport.     


  • Proficiency in transport planning systems and other office software (Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI).
  • Ability to negotiate. Ability to develop business relationships and partnerships.
  • Analytical skills. Quickly learns and understands new information. Ability to present data into useful information.
  • Integrity. Demonstrates a straightforward and confident approach.
  • Organization and planning. Clearly recognizes critical priorities, establishes action plans and identifies resources required to achieve goals.
  • Ingenuity. Ability to generate ideas and creative solutions.    


  • College or university diploma in logistics / transport or forestry engineering.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in the field of transport and supply.

 Position requiring regular trips in the province of Quebec.
