Reporting to the Recycling Controller, the General Accountant will act as a financial partner with internal stakeholders in the month-end process, in the analysis and participation in financial statements. In addition, he/she will be responsible for performing specific costing analyses.


  •  Supervise the collection and collection process;
  •  Ensure payment compliance;
  •  Responsible for the month-end process for Kruger Biomaterials (KBI);
  •  Consolidate financial information for KBI grant reports;
  •  Actively collaborate in the month-end process and preparation of financial statements for Recycling;
  •  Perform cost variance analyses versus budget and forecast;
  •  Create, track and compile key performance indicators;
  •  Participate in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly last estimates;
  •  Provide support for the production of various weekly, monthly and/or annual reports;
  •  Ensure the balancing of intercompany transactions;
  •  Add assets and depreciation to fixed asset purchases and sales;
  •  Verify the reconciliation of bank accounts;
  •  Provide support in the preparation of AR (capital requests);
  •  Participate in the improvement of accounting processes;
  •  Participate in various computer projects to improve performance;
  •  All other tasks required by his supervisor.

  •  Thoroughness and attention to detail;
  •  Proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications.



  • Hold a bachelor’s in accounting as well as a CPA accounting designation.


  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the manufacturing environment;
  • Master the complete accounting cycle;
  • Good knowledge of various computer software (Microsoft Office Suite). Experience with JDE, TM1 and IBM Cognos would be an asset.


  • Impeccable written and spoken English.
