Role and Responsibilities:

Under the responsibility of the Electrical Foreman, we are seeking for our Kruger Brompton Plant Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians who are able to maintain and repair various plant equipment during day/evening and night shifts. 

More specifically, you will:

- Monitor equipment and oversee preventive maintenance. 

- Deal with various emergencies involving equipment damage, malfunctioning machines, etc… by carrying out the necessary plant equipment diagnostics and repairs.

- Perform all other related duties.

*The areas of activity are:  programmable logic controllers; various sensors; 120, 600, 2400 and 13,800 V distribution; motor starters; DC and AC motor controllers; pneumatic and hydraulic controls; compressors;  paper machines and winders; conveyors; refiners; etc.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Do you have a Competency Certificate – Electricity (“C” license – excluding construction) as well as a specialized diploma of vocational studies or diploma of college studies in Electricity and Instrumentation (or the equivalent)?

*Applicants who have a “C”  licence - construction and who have completed a validated 5,000 hours of practice of the trade of electrician will be considered. 

Do you have expertise in control loops and programmable logic controllers?

Do you ideally have experience with hydraulic systems?

Are you outgoing and a team worker? Do you have a proven ability to be responsive and resourceful?

  • Competitive salary:  $40.63 / hour for tour Electrical and Instrumentation Technicians;
  • Eight-hour shifts; every other weekend off; and
