Role and Responsibilities:

Under the responsibility of the Human Resources Department, we are seeking for our Kruger Brompton Plant a Nurse to carry out all health activities assigned to him/her in an industrial setting and in collaboration with all Departments and the Attending Physician.

More specifically, you will:

  • Administer and follow up first aid treatment in the event of injury/accident (detailed report, post-medical follow-up…);
  • Schedule pre-employment medical consultations and tests with the Plant Physician and carry out the administrative follow-up of files;
  • Assist the Human Resources Coordinator in managing absence cases (disability and CNESST):
    • Coordinate temporary assignments;
    • Apply compensation rules for absenteeism due to illness;
    • Schedule and hold appointments for periodic tests (audiometry, spirometry, vision);
    • Enter monthly health and safety statistical data (OSHA);
  • Help develop and implement prevention activities for workers (vaccination campaigns, medical follow-up of fire brigade members, approve new hazardous products, etc…);
  • Be the point of contact for all Plant employee information requests (responsibility under the Employee Assistance Program in particular);          
  • Manage medication, vaccines and safety kits (sufficient number, expiry date…) and ensure that the various pieces of equipment and material at his or her disposal work properly; and
  • Maintain a biomedical waste log and submit annual reports;

 

Qualifications and Experience:

Do you have a diploma of college studies in Nursing and are you a member in good standing of the Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec ?

*CPR Certification will be considered an asset.

Do you ideally have initial experience in a similar position with excellent written and oral French communication skills ?

Are your listening skills your best asset ?

  • Competitive salary.
  • Part time, approximately 25 hours/week:
    • Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday:  7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
    • Wednesday:  7 a.m. – 12 p.m. / 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
