POSITIONG SUMMARY

Reporting to the Vice President, Sales Administration, the incumbent’s primary role is to sell-off plants’ second-class products. If second-class products and sources of recyclables are deemed unsuitable for internal consumption, he must sell them externally in order to maximize his sales proceeds’ contribution. The incumbent will work closely with his Customer Service Adviser who provides the necessary information and the required delivery, billing and payment deadlines.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Identify and coordinate, with the mills, second-class products (and trim, excluding containerboard mills) to sell-off.
  • Determine if these products are to be used internally by the Recycling Division, or sold on the market.
  • Provide first-rate customer service.
  • Obtain as much information as possible on the market for second-class products and its participants.
  • Contact clients with whom we’ve done business once in order to make them regular clients.
  • Soliciting new clients, including second-class business opportunities within our primary client’s base.
  • Negotiate prices with customers.
  • Responsible for the sale and delivery of products sold for export.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure payment by the due date.
  • Manage inventories of “second-class products/rejects”.
  • Perform sampling for mills, when needed.
  • Visit customers and mills frequently.
  • Work with the Sales team to verify the potential impact of these transactions on mills’ core business and on customers.
  • Perform other duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Administration, Commerce, Marketing or a related field.
  • Relevant experience directly related to the position may substitute for academic requirements.
  • One (1) to three (3) years of relevant experience.
  • French & English
