POSITION SUMMARY

The MES Intern provides technical assistance and services through analysis, design, configuration, testing, implementation, documentation and support to existing and new solutions deployed across Kruger's various sites.

 

responsABILITIES

  • Develop a good understanding of the technical environment as well as the internal client business functions;

  • Prepare technology requirements and detailed specifications from which solutions will be developed;

  • Document and review technical requirements with the IT team;

  • Perform system testing of assigned projects, including debugging and documentation. Ensure that the solution is compliant with the requirements and that the requirements are met;

  • Perform user acceptance testing and training to ensure that the solution is aligned with the requirements;

  •  Demonstrate the progress of assigned projects so that various stakeholders remain informed; 

  • Participate in business process analysis and transformation workshops; 

  • Develop various SSRS reports and perform end-to-end data validation and testing of new reports;

  • Create and update technical documentation and procedures based on identified opportunities;

  • Work closely with the business analysts and/or the IT team for the user acceptance testing campaign;

  • Support the team in resolving requests/tickets and participate in ticket prioritization sessions.

     

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • University degree or DEC in computer science in progress.

  • Must be in final year of study.

  • Experience with manufacturing solutions and systems.

  • Good knowledge of reporting solutions (SSRS, PowerBI)

  • Good knowledge of data mining development: SQL Server (SQL objects, query optimization), SSRS (Reporting)

  •  Knowledge of Microsoft Power BI (Power Query, DAX, metrics development)

  • Requires autonomy, strong customer focus and organizational skills

  • Must have good communication skills and ability to adapt to change

  •  Ability to work independently and have a sense of priority, 

  •  Excellent oral and written communication skills in French and functional English.
