We are looking for a Casual Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work at Clearwater Centre
5615 60 Street, Rocky Mountain House, AB
Focusing on the social model and working in a team environment, you will perform safe, quality resident care and assignments including delivery and reporting of activities of daily living and other duties as required. Using initiative and good judgement, you will carry out a variety of nursing duties, as assigned by the Care Manager or designate to ensure quality resident care and comfort.
You are actively registered to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse and current CPR/First Aid. Dementia care training an asset. You are able to provide high-quality care for residents with multiple complex needs in a high-stress environment. You have strong interpersonal skills and can communicate effectively in both written and verbal English. You have a positive approach to teamwork. Experience working with families, guardians and professional groups an asset.Experience working with the elderly and/or disabled preferred. Computer skills required.
Tuition Reimbursement: A standing variance tuition reimbursement of up to a maximum of $2500 can be offered to candidates for reimbursement of tuition costs incurred in the previous twelve (12) months from the date of hire, for attending a recognized training program directly related to the classification in which the candidate is hired for. Tuition reimbursement is subject to the candidate signing and agreeing to a two (2) year Return Service Agreement (RSA). This incentive is open to HCAs, LPNs, ACCs and RNs for all care homes/programs in British Columbia and Alberta.
Relocation Assistance: A standing variance for relocation assistance of up to a maximum of $2500 can be offered to candidates relocating for employment with Good Samaritan. Eligible moving and relocation expenses shall be limited to those acceptable by the CRA for income tax purposes. Relocation assistance is subject to signing and agreeing to a two (2) year RSA. This incentive is open to HCAs, LPNs, ACCs and RNs for all care homes/programs in British Columbia and Alberta.
All new employees are required to submit:
- a current and clear Criminal Record Check and if applicable, a Vulnerable Sector Check that has been obtained no more than 90 calendar days prior to the hire date;
- a tuberculosis screening that has been completed no more than 12 months prior to the hire date.
