We are looking to hire Registered Practical Nurses (RPNs) to join our Lakeridge Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) team  

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic Registered Practical Nurse, passionate about providing person and family centered care to clients’ who are medically suitable for peritoneal dialysis with the flexibility to visit community patients not requiring dialysis as well. Community dialysis provides the patient with the same level of service within their own home and helps to minimize travel time. You will develop, implement and evaluate client-centered care plans and assist clients with activities of daily living. You will provide education and health promotion and maintain accurate client records.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Successfully completed a certificate in Peritoneal Dialysis or a willingness to complete training for

·         Current Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario

·         Availability to work days, evenings, weekends and participate in an on-call rotation

·         Ability to work independently or as party of a multi-disciplinary team

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills

·         Sound decision making skills with the ability to plan care for clients with complex needs

·         A vehicle and valid driver’s license

·         Flexibility in scheduling
