We are hiring for Registered Practical Nurses for the School Immunization Program in Durham Region

We have immediate openings for RPNs for the School Immunization Program for Durham Region Within this unique and rewarding role, you will provide child &/or youth care in the school environment.  By sharing your high quality nursing knowledge and holistic care, you will make a difference in the lives of children.

  • Current Certificate of Competence with the College of Nurses of Ontario

  • A current CPR/First Aid certificate

  • A valid driver’s license and vehicle is an asset

  • Current immunization record and vulnerable sector check required upon hire

  • Availability to work days during the school year minimun 3 days/ week and every other weekend.  The shifts are Monday to Friday from 1pm to 7pm and Saturdays from 10am to 4pm.

  • Willingness to travel throughout Durham region - 6 locations: Port Perry, Uxbridge, Ajax, Brooklin, Oshawa and Clarington.

  • Strong interest in working with children and youth

  • A willingness to attain required SE Health certifications

  • Well developed interpersonal skills

  • Effective problem-solving and conflict management skills
