The Senior Director of Quality and Compliance (focus on Client Risk and Safety) is a skilled Leader, who is self-directed, innovative and responsible for Quality and Compliance as it relates to Client Risk and Safety. They are responsible for building and leading our Client focused Quality and Compliance initiatives by collaborating with, and leading colleagues at all levels of the organization. This includes partnerships with Human Resources, Healthcare Delivery/Operations and Corporate areas to identify and mitigate risk develop and oversee plans to support compliance nationwide. This opportunity develops best practices related to Quality and Compliance with an emphasis on Client Risk and Safety and provides training and education internally and externally. The Senior Director of Quality and Compliance will join our team of experts to support  the Board Committee work and lead internal Committees.




  • Team Leadership and recruitment
  • Lead internal Committee that support the work of Quality and Compliance and the Board
  • Privacy Advisor as it relates to client risk and safety supporting the overall work of the Chief Privacy Officer
  • Leadership for certifications including Accreditation Canada and Excellence Canada across the organization
  • Training and development of staff and leaders with respect to Quality and Compliance and maintenance of the Quality and Compliance HUB (centralized educational tool for broader organization)


    Policies and Procedures

  • Manage and maintain oversight and compliance related to currency of Policies and Procedures as they relate to Client Risk and Safety (Policytech) including the vendor relationship
  • Facilitate training and communication on topics specific to the Quality and Compliance function
  • Develop policies, procedures and practices to support compliance with legislation and proactively monitor legislation, regulatory and best practice developments and trends to prepare recommendations and ensure timely updates or enhancements
  • Liaise Ethics Expert for delivery ethics content

    Risk Management and Audits

  • Ensure accuracy of information entered in the Risk Management System (RL6) and escalation of high-risk incidents and manage vendor relationship
  • Oversee privacy and compliance Audits as they relate to the patient safety
  • Legislative analysis and interpretation to provide strategic guidance and advice and direction on matters related to the fair practices and lawful processing of personal information of employees and clients.
  • Liaise and support best practices related to internal investigations and may act as representative for SE Health during legal proceedings

Quality Planning and Integration

  • Co-lead develop of Quality Planning process and integration
  • Integrate client experience into quality planning initiatives (e.g. survey data, patient stories, patient council)
  • Manage client compliments and complaints
  • Escalate high risk incidents as required

Building and Maintaining Connections

  • Developing new connections/processes and procedures to the support he overall Quality and Compliance Framework
  • Other duties as required which will include leadership and participation in relevant organizational processes, consultation, and training.



  • At least 7 years of demonstrated leadership experience in quality, healthcare and risk
  • Experience leading teams and excellent organizational skills
  • Strong relationship management skills with the ability to collaborate and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Curiosity and the desire to learn and grow
  • Legal Experience considered an asset
  • Masters’ degree/professional designation
  • Comfortable using technology including MS Teams, Excel, Zoom, Outlook 365, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to work virtually and have flexible work schedule to accommodate various time zones
  • Demonstrate ability to be flexible and adaptable with excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrate ability to take initiative, show leadership and being adaptable to rapidly changing demands
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and utilization of problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Sound decision making skills to plan, organize and implement proactively and responsively
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to act as a collaborative team member
