Digital Strategy Consultant - Student Co-op

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented individual to support and lead projects that implement new programs, and/or introduce improvements to existing ones in our Seniors Living and Acute Care Transitions portfolios.  The consultant will be responsible for supporting the interdepartmental team brought together to execute on a project is empowered, motivated and organized.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides substantial support in the direction of multi-disciplinary teams through the design, implementation and evaluation of new programs or program improvement initiatives
• Creates project deliverables, including project management artifacts such as project charters, schedules and roadmaps
• Facilitate the design of new tools, processes and responsibilities to support program level changes, leveraging digital and clinical expertise from across the organization
• In collaboration with operations and research teams, measure program efficacy and operational efficiency, and prepare analysis or corresponding KPIs for regular review with stakeholders (internal and external)
• Apply standard project management practices (e.g., agendas, presentations, workshops, status updates, RAID logs, etc.) to equip project member with the information required to complete deliverables
• Anticipate and identify implementation challenges and proactively develop change management plans to address them
• Drive operational implementation through the functional owners to ensure all deliverables are met within the required timeline
• Provides analytical support, where the process/problem being investigated is complex or ambiguous in nature
• Develops and presents material using excellent written and verbal communications skills, with ability to express complex concepts effectively

REQUIREMENTS:

• Workign towards an undergraduate degree in Health Sciences, Health Administration, Health Informatics or related field
• Certificate in project management (CAPM or PMP) is an asset
• Minimum of 3-5 years of work of relevant work experience
• Experience with leading complex work packages or workstreams of large-scale projects using project management methodologies and tools
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a hands-on manner
• Ability to anticipate, prioritize, and effectively respond to issues as they arise
• Superior ability to analyze and define problems and risks, evaluate alternatives and options, find solutions and mitigation strategies, and make recommendations for action
• Excellent written and communication skills, including the ability to present complex information and facilitate cross-functional working group discussions
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to consult and collaborate with project team members, staff from other business units, and external stakeholders
• Highly motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines
