To sustain our passion to provide safe, happy and loving care, a continuous quality improvement strategic plan needs to be in place. The Project Specialist (intern) will play a key role in making this a reality. Working under the leadership of the SE Professional Practice team, the incumbent will support and lead the development and design of the organizational continuous quality improvement strategic sustainability plan as SE Health shifts from a set cycle of quality improvement and assessment program to a continuous quality improvement system approach. In partnership with internal key players across the organization, the incumbent will integrate and create synergies between the accreditation readiness activities with operational excellence and client and family experience. The Project Specialist will have opportunities to gain deep insights into the translation of SE Health intelligence and develop critical capacities that can be shared with SE Health teams.

Responsibilities

  • Explore and analyze market opportunities in new markets along with recommendations to inform the strategic plan
  • Coordinating activities involved in implementation of specific projects
  • Develop an organizational continuous quality improvement strategic sustainability plan
  • Partner and engage with SE Professional Practice internal and external partners to critically analyze specific project progress, strengths and barriers as well as make recommendations to position the project(s) for success.
  • Conducting presentations on select components of a project, proposal an/or results

Requirement:

  • Currently enrolled in a graduate degree in business, innovation, health administration, health promotion, public health or related program, international studies
  • Must be available for a 3 month or 12-week term
  • Experience in leading Patient Safety and Quality Improvement initiatives
  • Healthcare experience / knowledge is considered a strong plus
  • Self-motivated, ability to take direction and work independently, and work well in a remote team environment; strong verbal and written communication skills
