POSITION SUMMARY:

Full time temporary contract - Jun 2023 to Feb 2025-  8:30 AM to 4:30 PM - Monday to Friday with some evening hours- Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehab Program

POSITION SUMMARY:

We are currently seeking a Physiotherapist to work at Mackenzie Health Hospital in Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehabilitation Outpatient Clinic located in Vaughan.  The Physiotherapist will provide patient management through all stages of assessment, treatment, consultation and follow-up services to patients.  The successful candidate will be familiar working in a clinic setting.   

As the successful candidate, you are a graduate of an accredited program in Physiotherapy and are a member in good standing of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario.  You demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal, along with a high level of initiative and adaptability to rapidly changing demands. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a Physiotherapist (PT) you will be conducting assessments & treatment plans

  • As a PT you will be formulating goals and recommendations

  • Planning and implementing patient centered, goal-directed treatment programs & working with Kinesiologists

  • Assist in the promotion of physiotherapy services to external referral sources

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Reliable, flexible, creative, self-directed professional, able to work effectively and collaboratively with a high performance interdisciplinary rehabilitation team

  • Graduate of an accredited program in Physiotherapy and are a member in good standing of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario

  • Experience in Cardiovascular Rehab is required

  • Experience in assessment and generating treatment plans for Cardiovascular disease, Pulmonary Rehab and high functioning strokes. 

  • Experience with Chronic disease management is a good asset

  • Sound knowledge of community resources is an asset

  • Effective interpersonal, organizational and communication skills

  • A positive work and attendance record is essential

  • Ability to adapt to new computer applications

  • CPR + AED certificate
