Emeco Holdings Limited (ACN 112 188 815) and its subsidiaries (“Emeco”, “us” or “we”) is committed to ensuring the privacy of your personal information. The following statement (“Privacy Statement”) explains how we manage your personal information for the purposes of processing and considering your application for employment.

We collect personal information provided by you when you apply for a job with us. The types of information we may collect include:

  • information from your resume or application form – including your name, address, contact details (such as phone numbers and email addresses), skills and other employment history details;
  • academic transcripts or qualifications;
  • referee details as provided;
  • information about your health;
  • proof of eligibility to work in Australia;
  • criminal records (only applicable to certain roles); and
  • other miscellaneous information that is disclosed by you in your application or during the interview process.

We usually collect this information directly from you, including through the Emeco website. We may also collect this information from third parties including referees and recruitment agencies.

How this information is used

The personal information you provide to us for the purposes of your job application will be used by our personnel during the course of the recruitment and selection process. We may use your personal information to verify your identity and other details, contact referees and conduct police and other checks.

Disclosure of your information

We may distribute this information internally to the relevant hiring managers and recruitment panel members who are involved in the particular recruitment activity.

We may disclose your personal and sensitive information to police organisations, your referees and other persons you nominate or mention in your application and to other third parties who provide services on our behalf where such disclosure is relevant to the recruitment and selection process.

We will not disclose your personal information to a third party without your consent, except as provided by this Privacy Statement or otherwise required by law.

How this information is stored and for how long

Personal information is held in secure electronic databases. We use a range of security processes to protect the confidentiality and security of personal information we hold. Paper applications are stored in a secure storage area.

Updating or correcting your personal information
