Purpose & Scope of The Position:  

The job requires interacting with vendors, the public, and team members in a positive and proactive manner. Additionally, it involves providing necessary support to various lab groups by performing routine maintenance and inventory support to ensure that all groups are operational.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repair on Met & Assay equipment, grounds, and building.
• Keep an inventory of items, replace and reorder needed items, generate work orders, pick tickets, service requests, and other types of requisitions.
• Pick up and deliver items from the warehouse, escort site visitors for the Assay and Met groups, and supply site-specific training as required.
• Assist with snow removal, utilization of mobile equipment, general labor, and hole watch. 
• Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
• Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.

Required Education, Work Experience & Training:

• A valid Driver’s License. 
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Preferred Education, Work Experience & Training:

• A good knowledge of computers, familiarity with Word, Excel, Lims System and spread sheets is a plus. 
• Familiarity with a lab environment is a plus.
• Candidate must be willing and able to learn and use JDE.
• Familiarity with general maintenance and maintenance of lab equipment.

Technical Skills:

• Basic maintenance skills.
• Good knowledge of computers, familiarity with Word.
• Ability to use Excel, LIMS and spread sheets.

Travel Requirements:

• Travel as needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• N/A

Additional Requirements: 

• Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
• Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 75-100 pounds of force occasionally and/or 25-50 pounds of force frequently and/or 10-20 pounds of force constantly.
