This is semi-skilled and skilled work of considerable variety below the journeyperson level of responsibility but requiring involvement in and phases of Journeyperson’s work. An apprentice at the beginning level performs manual and semi-skilled tasks of moderate difficulty in the Painter trade. Tasks of increasing complexity are assigned as the incumbent progresses successfully through the apprenticeship. Apprentices are required to attend in-school training as directed by the Industry Training Authority. The apprentice’s work will be checked while in progress to ensure proficiency, attainment of desired objectives, and that established standards are met.
Qualifications include up to high school completion required for this apprenticeship opportunity. The completion of a pre-apprenticeship or entry-level training program would be an asset. Applicants also require a basic understanding of standard practices, methods, tools, materials and equipment as used in the Painter trade.

8th 6 months of apprenticeship 90% |
