About the position

CSL Australia is currently looking for a permanent full time FOTB Electrical Engineering Manager to join our Floating Transfer Offshore Barge (FOTB) on a roster schedule 6 weeks on and 6 weeks off. This operation is based in Whyalla, South Australia. The FOTB Electrical Engineering Manager is responsible for all electrical and electronic systems onboard the Transhipment Facility, including but not limited to CSL equipment at the CSL compound, Inner Harbour and Outer Harbour Transhipment berths The FOTB Electrical Engineering Manager reports to the FOTB Manager.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring serviceability and availability of all electrical systems;
  • Ensuring maintenance and repair tasks are conducted;
  • Developing and maintaining preventive maintenance schedules, plans and procedures;
  • Maintaining supply and stock of electrical spare parts and materials;
  • Ensuring uninterrupted power supply to FOTB and SUBs;
  • Overseeing start and running up of material handling systems; and
  • The performance of other duties as required, provided they fall within the competencies/skill levels of Employees concerned. 

About you

  • Educational requirement: marine engineering background with experience in transhipment operations (preference)
  • MSIC Card (required or ability to obtain)
  • Current AMSA Medical (required or ability to obtain)
  • Australian Citizen or Unlimited Working Rights (required)
