About the Role

Simon Fraser University is seeking an expert leader in the field of technology solutions to join the School of Medicine and lead the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of integrated technology solutions.  In this role, the Director of Medical Education Technology will lead the Education Solutions and Medical Technology Solutions teams to ensure that the School's administration, learning, instruction, and research functions have leading-edge technology solutions to support medical education training.  

The ideal candidate will have excellent project management skills, as well as a proven track record of successfully implementing systems, applications, and technology solutions in a medical education environment.

Qualifications

Master’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Education Technology, Learning Experience Design, or equivalent and 8 years of leadership experience in educational technology. A combination of a Bachelor’s Degree in these fields with a Master's in Business Administration will also be considered; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.

● Excellent knowledge of software development and management, business analysis, IT project management, and IT system architecture.
● Demonstrated experience in leading TS services, strategic planning, and stakeholder collaboration.
● In-depth knowledge of digital health solutions and their application in educational and research environments.
● Strong understanding of simulation technology labs and their role in medical education.
● Expertise in application architecture and integration within higher education settings.
● Proficiency in managing and optimizing enterprise systems and networks.

The pay range is the span between the minimum and maximum base salary for the position. The midpoint of the range is approximately halfway between the minimum and the maximum and represents an employee that possesses full job knowledge, qualifications and experience for the position. In the normal course, employees will be hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the pay range.
