About the Role

The Library Assistant is responsible for retrieving materials requested by Library patrons and by external libraries. This position fulfills patron digitization requests and process InterLibrary Loan lending requests.

Qualifications

High School graduation.  An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable

  • Familiarity with using computer-based applications.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new processes and changes in technology.
  • Ability to handle routine and repetitive work efficiently.

Additional Information

The assignment start/end dates are: January 6, 2025 to April 17, 2025.

Priority will be given to qualified registered SFU students who must submit a Spring 2025 class schedule with their application. This is a part-time position working up to 30 hours biweekly. Days/hours of work are Monday to Friday, 3 hours, 3 days per week, between 9:00am to 5:00pm.   There are 2 positions available.
