As part of a high functioning, integrated department, you will be part of a collegial team ensuring maximum occupancy for our residence community with a student-centered approach.

About the Role

In this role, you will work with a dedicated team of colleagues who work to ensure a maximum housing occupancy handling complex processes of housing applications, room assignments, billing, and service to students including responding to diverse and complex inquiries by students, staff, and colleagues. The work is interconnected with our residence life, front desk staff, facilities, communications, guest accommodation, finance, as well as our Campus Services and Student Services colleagues.

You are a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working within a busy team and has a student-centered mindset. You are an effective communicator, team member, problem solver, and are able to work with a high level of accuracy and prioritize your time and work on a number of different tasks at different levels of complexity and urgency.

Qualifications

High school graduation and one year of post-secondary education, including courses in word-processing, database and spreadsheet applications, project management, and office procedures including basic accounting practices. 3 years of experience. An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable.

  • Works well in a team environment (communication, accountability, responsibility).
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and set deadlines.
  • Excellent customer service and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience with StarRez Housing software or have experience using robust customer relations / data management software.
