The Student Recruitment unit oversees the support and guidance of prospective students for our undergraduate admission pathways, over the recruitment lifecycle. Our goal is to create a positive applicant experience from application through to admission, and this requires us to be student-focused in our approach. We are also a highly integrated unit as we work quite closely with our other undergraduate units including our Admissions and Enrollment, Academic Advising and Student Engagement teams.
About the Role
The Coordinator, Student Recruitment delivers day to day recruitment programming and initiatives in order to achieve enrollment targets for the Beedie School of Business, Undergraduate Programs. The Coordinator plans, executes and assesses recruiting visits, events and presentations at a variety of on-campus and off-campus educational, community, and professional settings in consultation with the supervisor. The position advises and recruits prospective students, and supports internal and external recruitment stakeholders, undertaking the research, data analysis, and stakeholder management necessary to successfully achieve recruitment and enrollment targets. The position also acts as a referral agent to other Student Services departments and SFU faculties.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and three years of related experience in post-secondary student recruitment, program advising, professional sales management, business development, marketing, or public relations, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Knowledge of best practices, initiatives, current research and thinking in student enrolment management, and ability to assess their relevance and application to the Beedie School of Business.
- Excellent public speaking skills with demonstrated ability to communicate complex information and influence key stakeholders through effective presentations.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, facilitation, training, and teamwork skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to understand, interpret and apply policies and procedures, admission requirements, and strategic enrolment management objectives and goals with a high degree of accuracy.

The assignment end date is 6 months from start date.
