Municipal Infrastructure Labourer Opportunities

The City of Delta’s Engineering Operations department provides services to the communities of Ladner, North Delta, and Tsawwassen. We are seeking reliable, self-motivated, and flexible team players with experience in Municipal Infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge and skills in the methods, techniques, materials, tools, and equipment used in water, sewer, and drainage construction and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities: Labourers working in our Construction and Utilities divisions will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to:

  • Sanitary & Storm Sewer Maintenance and Construction
  • Water System Maintenance and Construction
  • Trench Excavation and Rehabilitation
  • Pipe Installation
  • General Labouring and Cleanup
  • Other related duties as required

Preferred Qualifications: Applicants are encouraged to highlight relevant experience in municipal infrastructure, construction, plumbing, piping, underground utilities, and general labouring. Training or courses in Public Works are an asset. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with a safe driving record is required. Candidates must submit a current Driver’s Abstract showing a five-year history along with their application. Applications submitted without a Driver’s Abstract will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed. Please ensure you have this document ready to upload when you apply. Successful candidates will be selected based on their relevant experience and skills.
