Temporary Full-Time Seasonal Opportunities Available

The City of Delta’s Engineering Operations team serves the communities of Ladner, North Delta, and Tsawwassen. We offer exciting opportunities for energetic and adaptable individuals looking for a rewarding career in public works. We are seeking reliable, self-motivated, and flexible team players with experience and/or training to fill a range of labour positions, including: 

  • General Labourers
  • Utility Workers
  • Operation Service Workers
  • Equipment Operators
  • Engineering Construction Workers
  • Sign Maintenance Workers

In these roles, your duties will vary, and you will be responsible for performing manual and semi-skilled tasks. You must be able to work independently, effectively, and efficiently without direct supervision. These positions require good physical fitness, as the work involves heavy manual labor outdoors in all weather conditions. Strong public relations and interpersonal skills are also key to your success in this role.

Qualifications:

  • A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s Licence with a safe driving record is required.
  • Candidates must submit a current Driver’s Abstract showing a five-year history along with their application. Applications without this document will be considered incomplete and will not be reviewed. Please have this document ready for upload when you apply.
  • Familiarity with driving pickup trucks or larger vehicles is essential.
  • Preference may be given to candidates with training or coursework related to public works or engineering operations.
  • Selection will be based on relevant experience and skills.
