We are seeking a Manager, Centre for Institutional Data and Enterprise Analytics to join our team.   This is an 18-month contract role.

As the Manager, Centre for Institutional Data and Enterprise Analytics you will be responsible for coordinating and reporting on institution-wide initiatives connected to Seneca’s annual business plan, in alignment with the Strategic Plan. You will develop and coordinate an institution-wide interactive calendar of activities, deadlines and milestones to support knowledge-sharing and collaboration across Seneca. Reporting to the Director, Centre for Institutional Data and Enterprise Analytics, you will support special projects and data collection connected to Seneca’s reporting obligations to government, industry partners and other external stakeholders.

Planning

  • Develop an understanding of the business operations, procedures and policies of the stakeholder groups involved in and impacted by, business planning initiatives  
  • Support initiatives related to Seneca’s Strategic Plan and reports on findings to senior administrators 
  • Lead training for Seneca’s academic and service areas on business planning and initiative tracking

Project Management

  • Assist with establishing scope, goals, timelines and deliverables to achieve successful outcomes in alignment with strategic and business planning priorities 
  • Work with subject matter experts to outline project resources required, sources the needs and identifies potential risks and presents options to mitigate risks
  • Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project teams, analyse results and troubleshoot problem areas 
  • Define project success criteria and milestones and disseminates them to stakeholders throughout the project life cycle 

Data Management and Reporting

  • Develop and maintain an institution-wide calendar to track institutional initiatives
  • Coordinate policy review cycles and updates 
  • Collect data that informs on progress and/or challenges related to business planning-related or special projects and delivers progress reports and presentations

Team Management  

  • Establish department objectives and work plans, delegating assignments to subordinate employees, manages hiring and performance evaluation of personnel 
  • Manage a team and provide training, timelines, guidance and support and coordinates personnel activities, scheduling, coaching, performance management and supports professional development  
  • Provide constructive input to team members for policies/procedures, policy proposals and strategies to improve operational efficiencies   

Join Our Team 

Do you hold a post-secondary Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Public Sector Administration or any other related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience, have 5+ years of experience in Corporate Planning or relevant area and as a people leader?  We seek individuals with a proven track record of experience with corporate planning and have exceptional leadership skills who promote and encourage equity, diversity, and inclusion in all decision-making. Additionally, possessing extraordinary analytical skills, detail orientation, adept diplomatic relationship management, and collaborative abilities, and excellent communication skills are crucial for success in this role.
