We are currently looking for an Electrical Technician. Reporting to the foreman, you will be responsible for the maintenance, adjustment and repair of all electrical equipment used in the company. You'll keep production equipment running smoothly, and make emergency repairs as needed.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR :

DEC in instrumentation and control or industrial electronics technology;
Minimum 2 years' experience in an industrial environment;
Licence C electrician's card, or in the process of obtaining one;
Ability to read and interpret drawings, plans, sketches, logic and control diagrams;
Good knowledge of programmable logic controllers;
Excellent understanding of lockout rules.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Knowledge of MS Office suite an asset.

WHAT YOU'LL DO :

Observe equipment operation and determine, in consultation with the operator or foreman, the nature and extent of electrical, pneumatic or electronic faults;
Install, repair or replace defective parts using appropriate tools, manufacturer's manuals and drawings;
Analyze electrical problems, diagnose, determine causes and recommend effective corrective methods to prevent recurrence;
Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance and all types of electrical work on various types of electrical installations (low, medium and high voltage) and on process control equipment;
Work in collaboration with maintenance and production team members;
Collaborate in problem-solving (troubleshooting) related to equipment efficiency and improvement;
Complete reports following completion of work.
