SUMMARY

The MAC Manager is responsible for supporting the planning and delivering of tenant improvement and/or facility moves, adds, or change (MAC) projects.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engages and communicates with clients with a focus on professionalism, urgency and transparency
  • Delivers facility moves, adds or change projects
  • Liaise with senior team members to understand project requirements and provides support as required
  • Researches and liaises with vendors to obtain quotes
  • Prepares documentation for purchase orders and furniture tagging
  • Develops and maintains effective relationships with clients
  • Develops and maintains effective relationship with vendors
  • Ensures assigned projects are delivered on-time, within scope, budget and requirements, and complies with all regulatory, environmental, health and safety requirements
  • Incorporates sustainable practices, where practical, into MAC delivery, in accordance with BGIS processes
  • Other duties as assigned

 

EDUCATION, JOB-RELATED YEARS OF EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION: College Diploma or equivalent training (e.g. RPA, CET)

JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE: 1-3 years or more

Knowledge & Skills

  • Minimum 1-3 years supporting the planning and delivering of facility moves, adds or change (MAC) projects, or project administration/coordination work experience
  • College Diploma or equivalent training
  • RPA, CET would be considered an asset
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office applications with ability to quickly learn new applications
  • Ability to work independently to deliver non-technical projects according to requirements, on-time and with budget
  • Working knowledge of various furniture systems, interiors, materials and finishes as well as knowledge of project management, move management, construction and scheduling
  • Self-starter with strong organizational skills as well as ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing skills and client communication
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence others to ensure timely and quality completion of projects
  • Bilingual in English and French (written and spoken) an asset

 

Licenses and/or Professional Accreditation

  • Demonstrates an interest in pursuing Project Management Institute Accreditation considered an asset
