NOTE:
All students applying for student positions at CNL must be returning to full-time studies upon completion of their work term. Exceptions will be made for students who require a work term in order to graduate.

INTRO
Corporate Communications serves as the communications and public affairs touchpoint for CNL’s staff, contractors and suppliers as well as our local stakeholders and leaders in area communities. In delivering on this mandate, the Corporate Communications team produces a wide range of communications products, activities and events which draw on skillsets ranging from government relations to journalism and media relations, graphic and web design to presentations and visitor hosting.

This is a very exciting opportunity for a young scientist and we look forward to working with the student hired as they grow their skills in our lab.


RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Support the successful delivery of events at the Chalk River Laboratories
  • Support the development of communications products aligned with the vision for CNL
  • Drafting of articles, videos and web content for internal and external audiences
  • Assist with the identification and preparation of social media content for CNL

REQUIREMENTS

  • Applicants should be outgoing, energetic and excited about their field of study in communications, public relations, journalism, marketing or related skills such as graphic or web design. Students may be enrolled in or accepted to enter a post-secondary program at either the university or college level.
  • Detail oriented and strong organizations skills are needed.
  • Experience with related software is an asset (eg. Adobe product suite, video, typography and publishing, common web CMS, etc).


 
To be eligible for CNL Co Op student employment, you must be:

  • Enrolled to return to a post-secondary institution (college or university) in the following semester
  • Available to work from May until August 2023.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada in accordance with Canadian Immigration laws
  • Must be able to successfully obtain and maintain a security clearance and reliability check
