Title : Program Assistant, Emergency Management

Employee Working Location : In-person (Saskatoon, SK)  

Employment Status : Co-op/Summer Student (2 Months)

In this role you will :

  • Provide administrative support to Provincial Disaster Coordination Team (PDCT) or local Emergency Response Team (ERT).
  • Support the preparedness and delivery of services associated with local municipal and provincial agreements.
  • Provide administrative and program support in the SK Emergency Management program operations.
  • Support and reinforce health and safety protocols with clients, visitors and colleagues including social distancing, sanitization, wearing of personal protective equipment.
  • Contribute toward the establishment and maintenance of safe & supportive working environments for diverse populations and incorporating cultural considerations.
  • Assist with the production of Service Delivery plan.
  • Confirm and update partner and volunteer lists.
  • Assist with volunteer recruitment and training efforts.
  • Conduct other duties as assigned.

        

What we are looking for : 

  • Preferably have Emergency Management background.
  • Current Red Cross Standard First Aid/CPR B or willingness to take.
  • Between the ages 18-30 years old (this is a Canada Summer Jobs position). 
  • Good communication skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Saskatchewan Driver’s License.

        

Working Conditions :

  • 35-hour work week, Monday to Friday.
  • Occasional requirement to work overtime hours, often with short notice.
  • Domestic travel may be required.
