Business Manager, Sales & Distribution

Reporting to AVP, Sales Enablement & Effectiveness

Full-Time Position

Mandate

We are looking for a seasoned professional who will play a key enabling role in supporting the goals and objectives of the Sales & Distribution team, ensuring we achieve our intended outcomes. Through this support, the incumbent will further enable the Sales and Distribution Leadership Team to develop strategic plans including execution plans and managing the key elements of the business.

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Lead the process for important business feedback loops: Leader meetings, broader team meetings, field and partner meetings. This includes responsibility for the planning and execution of these forums, logistics, agenda, presentations, pre-reads etc.
  • Develop management operating systems (dashboards and monitoring tools) that will enable the organization to develop effective plans, and in turn execute / manage key elements of the business on an ongoing basis.
  • Act as key liaison between the Data and Analytics and Sales and Distribution teams
  • Work in close collaboration with the AVP and SVP of the area as well as the broader management team.
  • Act as an additional resource to participate in a variety of capacities in support of the broader Sales & Distribution Strategy
  • As a member of the leadership team, anticipate and understand business unit issues, formulate recommendations and coordinate actions to address these issues

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • A university degree or equivalent industry experience is required
  • 5+ years in financial services or business management role
  • Demonstrated trustworthiness, use of discretion and protection of confidential information
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally
  • Familiarity with project management lifecycles
  • Track record of delivery and results
  • Understands the mechanics of a substantial Distribution organization.
  • Has wide access to data and key decision makers across the organization – comfortable with diving into any area of the business or product.
  • Inspires a vision that adapts to new realities, articulating meaningful expectations and creating clear pathways to desired outcomes.
  • Remains focused, composed, and optimistic – resilient, adaptable and able to anticipate hurdles.
