Manager, Customer and Product Analytics

Reporting to VP, Product Management & Solution Strategy

Full Time Position

Mandate

We are looking for an expert in analytics and data management. Working under minimal supervision, you will be responsible for understanding the data needs across the company and executing the data roadmap to maximize data capabilities and business insights. You will be responsible for scaling the data function as new products and services are implemented and transforming data into insights that inform strategy and decision making to support growth.

 

CHALLENGES TO BE MET

  • Be customer focused and build a framework of analytics around customer needs and behaviors
  • Transform data and information into insights that inform high-level strategy and tactical decision-making in support of revenue and profitability objectives
  • Be a champion for a data-driven culture
  • Execute a plan to maximize self-service capabilities for internal users and customers
  • Work closely with the Customer Success team to build customer life cycle management program
  • Oversee internal and external application/tool development, integration and support. Where required, supervise and evaluate external consultants
  • Collaborate with Sales Enablement team in generating insightful sales management tools and reporting
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create propensity models and target files for engagement and acquisition campaigns
  • Build statistical and advanced analytics models to test business hypotheses
  • Construct Data Models to demonstrate
  • Communicate findings to business partners

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Proficient technical knowledge with very large relational databases and with tools such as SQL and SAS
  • Sound business acumen and strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work well collaboratively in a cross-functional environment as well as independently with initiative and taking ownership
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Programming skills and some knowledge of Python, R, and SQL
  • Familiar with data extract, transform and load processes with a variety of data types
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in design, development, and implementation utilizing data technologies
  • Expert technical documentation skills
  • BSc. or Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or Computer Science is preferred
  • Asset: experience in statistical methods, strong data profiling, cleaning, and mining, ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data and present findings to stakeholders
  • Asset: experience with big data technologies – Hadoop (Pig, Hive), SQL databases, parallel processing techniques and Tableau
