Applications are invited for the position of ­­­­­­­­­­­­Academic Portfolio Manager in the Business and Environment Division, located at the Daniel J. Patterson Campus.  The salary range is $85,529 to $106,911 for a 35-hour work week. Additional hours may be required as necessary.   

Reporting to the Dean, Business and Environment, the successful candidate will support the daily operations and academic planning for the division. The incumbent will provide leadership by working collaboratively in the development and implementation of operational plans as part of the College’s academic planning process. This position will support academic program evaluation, new program development, part-time faculty, and student experience enhancements within selected programs for the divisional schools. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: 

  • Contribute to new program development, including new modalities.
  • Working with the Dean and Associate Deans for program implementation and development, program reviews, accreditation, tracking action items, or similar activities. 
  • Providing support and guidance with student related issues, such as student retention initiatives, academic misconduct, policies and procedures, program specific concerns, and quality assurance; collaboratively designing forward thinking solutions and preventative measures.
  • Effectively support recruitment and selection of part-time faculty. 
  • Ensuring the success of part-time faculty by organizing the sharing of information, adhering to college policies and procedures, and implementing best practices for teaching. 

Qualifications:  

  • 4-year bachelor’s degree in education, a discipline served by this division, or related field of study. 
  • 5-years relevant experience leading or managing teams and functions within an education sector.
  • Expertise in providing functional guidance and leadership to supporting team members.
  • Knowledge and experience related to the college educational structure, and environment, including understanding of; curriculum and program development, teaching, coaching for performance in a teaching environment, internationalization, innovation, and experience-based education, as well as planning, marketing, and evaluation in an educational setting.
  • Skilled at leading project teams and processes.
  • Experience in post-secondary teaching.
