Reporting to the Equipment Manager, the Equipment Coordinator will provide support for Stuart Olson operations and sites.  This position will also be responsible for organizing, cleaning, and maintaining the shop, fleet, and storage areas. 

 

This position is based in the NW Edmonton, AB Office.

 

 

Responsibilities

 

Leadership

  • Demonstrate the Stuart Olson Promise and contribute to it becoming embedded across the organization.

 

Shop

  • Organize merchandise and upkeep of shop and yard; load, unload and deliver shipments.

  • Operate shop equipment, i.e. forklift to lift and sort incoming and outgoing products.

  • Understand Company's guidelines pertaining to warehousing and delivery to various work sites.

  • Vehicle cleaning and maintenance.

  • Track and maintain accurate documentation, including the coordination of vehicle/equipment repairs and maintenance

  • Perform other general shop duties as required.

     

Stuart Olson Corporate

  • Lead and participate in corporate initiatives as requested

 

 

Qualifications

  • High school diploma

  • Forklift Certification an asset

  • Valid Alberta driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract

  • Site clearance

  • Experience using SAP an asset

  • Basic construction and tool handling knowledge an asset

  • Proficient with MS Office software including; MS Excel, MS Word and MS Outlook

  • Ability to spend much of the workday on feet, lifting and sorting up to 50lbs.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet the time demands of unpredictable activities; capable of handling pressure and challenges

  • Ability to work within tight deadlines and prioritization of work to achieve them

  • Strong organization skills

  • Self-motivated, action oriented and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment or independently on routine tasks with a positive attitude

  • Highly developed customer service orientation

  • Demonstrates a sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals; ability to work in challenging, fast paced environment

  • Superior written and verbal communication skills

  • Overtime may be required
