Reporting to the General Superintendent, the Logistics Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of supplies to support facilities and services.
This position is based 90 kms west of Edmonton on a client site.

Act as coach and mentor to direct reports.
Review the turnaround plan, schedule and work packages to determine what facilities, services and equipment are required.
Work with the planners/coordinators to procure the resources for the required dates defined on the schedule.
Prepare the facility plot plan to identify the location of all temporary facilities complete with the utility hook-ups.
Supervise a team of warehouse and tool crib personnel to ensure timing execution support to the turnaround.
Develop the cranage plot plan for placement, access and location of all cranes.
Ensure that all outside service shop contractor activities are scheduled and that the service providers are aware of their scope of work and when it is required; support the Stuart Olson Project Manager in this area.
Interface with the Planners, client warehouse and outside shops to coordinate tagging, transportation, receiving, inspection and shipping of all turnaround materials and equipment.
Provide input on available rental equipment/capacities and assist in the identification of the turnaround equipment and tooling requirements.
Ensure that all rental equipment and temporary facilities are inspected for compliance to company standards and are in good operating condition.
Participate in all incident/accident investigations involving mobile equipment.
Participate in the daily status review meetings to ensure all the logistics concerns are addressed.

Undergraduate degree in a related field
3-5 years’ leadership or supervisory experience
10+ years’ industrial experience in a turnaround environment
A background in mechanical or metal trades an asset
Strong experience with mechanical-metal trades or procurement or warehousing
Working knowledge of SAP an asset
Ability to lead and operate within an environment where change happens frequently
Commitment to recruiting, mentoring, training, and retaining a focused team; the foresight and ability to delegate accordingly
Strong leadership capability as evidenced by demonstrable success in team/collaborative work environments
Ability to forge, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
Strong written and oral communication skills
