What you get to do:

  • Provide a safe work environment for all employees, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
  • Manage the smooth implementation of OH&S policies and procedures.
  • Ensure adequate documentation and procedures are followed.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of local legislation and required regulations.
  • Continual monitoring, coaching and guidance towards safety compliance.
  • Own safety campaigns and provide employee training.
  • Provide regular and accurate statistical reporting.
  • Evaluate safety performance through inspections and audits.
  • Participate in accident investigations, root cause analysis, and prepare accident reports
  • Oversees and Supervises HSE Inspectors

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5-8 years of related experience in safety implementation and protocols.
  • Successfully complete a pre-access drug and alcohol testing.
  • OHS / CRSP or NCSO certification.
  • Flexibility in working periods of overtime with travel to site locations.
  • Standard First Aid Level C, with CPR/AED.
  • Valid Drivers’ License.
  • Valid Drivers’ Abstract.
  • H2S Alive Certification (Energy Safety Certification).
  • CSTS 2020.
  • WHMIS 2015.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Access) with the ability to work with multiple programs.
  • Ability to build and sustain relationships with team members and coworkers.
  • Ability to conduct walk-arounds on project sites.
  • Previous Experience: Safety, health safety, HSE, health and safety, safety coordinator, NCSO safety manager, occupational health safety, environmental, safety specialist
