The Position 

Reporting to the Vice President, Human Resources, the Corporate Manager, Talent Acquisition and Recruitment will lead, manage and oversee all aspects of the company's talent acquisition strategy, plan, recruiting programs, policies, and procedures. 

In addition to having a passion to source talent, this leadership role can work collaboratively with stakeholders, enjoys helping individuals find their new career, and has a desire to be a part of and build a high performing recruitment team.  The successful applicant in this role will think strategically, act practically, is innovative, and is skilled at driving and directing all talent acquisition and recruitment efforts and processes. 

The Corporate Manager, Talent Acquisition and Recruitment is expected to be a “working recruiter” alongside the recruitment team and is a highly skilled recruiting professional with a comprehensive knowledge of innovative sourcing, hiring and talent evaluation practices. This includes experience in leading regional, national and international recruitment campaigns and missions.

 

Education & Experience

  • Minimum five (5) years of talent acquisition and recruitment experience, preferably in the construction trades and/or oil and gas sector
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) would be an asset
  • Excellent understanding of recruitment and selection processes
  • Strong familiarity and understanding of human resource practices and employer branding strategies
  • Proficiency in using Taleo Business Edition applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Understanding of Recruitment Marketing software is an asset
  • Strong proficiency with English, both verbal and written
