Who We Are
The Academic Affairs team provides complex advice and administrative support to senior academic leadership, faculty and staff in the Beedie School of Business. Our work focuses on the interpretation and implementation of university policies, guidelines, and collective agreements. We are a small, high performing group who value teamwork and excellence.
About the Role
The Analyst provides senior-level leadership and support in the areas of tenure and promotion (and related processes), faculty support, and faculty hiring. The Analyst works with colleagues, guides and mentors junior team members, and reports to the Associate Director, Academic Affairs.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a related discipline, and five years of related administrative, human resource management, or business administration experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Excellent administrative, project management, teamwork, planning, organizational, and human resource management skills.
- Ability to interpret and apply collective agreements and administrative policies and procedures.
- Ability to resolve contentious issues, gain consensus, and reconcile diverse points of view.
- Ability to train, delegate, and supervise the work of support staff.
- Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion.
