OverviewThis is custodial work entailing responsibility for assisting in booking, searching, guarding and attending to the welfare of prisoners in the cell area. Under immediate supervision, some independence of judgement and action is exercised while ensuring the security of prisoners. Work performance is evaluated by a superior in terms of continued alertness, attitude and adherence to well defined practices and procedures.
