Civil Designer

Description

Our company is a 50% employee owned, medium sized engineering consultancy firm currently working on career defining national and international projects. We are a diverse group of engineers, designers, geologists and geoscientists collaborating on greenfield and operating mines, and surface water and groundwater projects. In response to our company’s success and continued growth we are seeking to appoint a civil designer in our Brisbane based office.

We are seeking a motivated civil designer to join a small team and help us grow something big. You will work alongside our engineers to provide a range of solutions for our clients to achieve their goals. While doing this your personal career goals can be met by gaining valuable experience on wide ranging projects from studies to construction and closure.  

Role requirements:

• Minimum of 3 years civil design and drafting experience.
• Well-developed design skills using AutoCad, 12D and/or Civil 3D software.
• Ability to learn construction staging and geological modelling software.
• Experience working on large scale mining projects.
• Good understanding of civil and water projects.
• Possess teamwork skills coordinating with internal teams, clients and external consultants.
• Knowledge of design efficiency techniques and standardisation development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, and the ability to effectively work autonomously as well as in a project team.

Projects include:

• Greenfield mine development.
• Brownfield tailings dam raising and associate infrastructure.
• Mine closure land formation and drainage.
• Groundwater development.
• Levee and surface water management.
• Geological modelling.
• Site investigations.
