The work consists mainly of:

  • Ensuring a memorable visitor experience;
  • Welcoming and informing visitors on our many services, programs and exhibitions;
  • Assisting with wayfinding and "plan your visit" support;
  • Controlling visitor circulation and managing the number of visitors through exhibition areas;
  • Ticket processing;
  • The possibility of additional training and compensation for interpretive activities, program delivery and guided tours.

We are looking for people who:

  • Are patient, enjoy working with the public and will greet visitors with a smile;
  • Enjoy providing quality customer service to a diverse audience;
  • Appreciate team collaboration to achieve common goals;
  • Are bilingual (English / French);
  • Have experience with ticketing or cash systems;
  • Have experience working in a museum, cultural or tourism context (asset);
  • Have experience delivering programs and/or presentations (asset).

In short:

  • Bilingual Customer Service.
  • Temporary summer positions without assigned hours
  • Positions from April until Early September with possibility of extension.
  • You must be available to attend full training days during your first week.
  • $19,49/hour to $24,12/hour (2025-2026 rates) + percentage in lieu of benefits (up to 10.5%).
  • The opportunity to supplement your income through the delivery of certain programs following additional training.
  • 100 Laurier Street, Gatineau, Quebec and 1 Vimy Place, Ottawa, Ontario.

Conditions of employment:
